Stopped here before heading to the airport and it was a great way to end the trip. Everything we ordered was really good, and the pancakes were easily the highlight. I also loved the old school diner feel. It has a lot of character without feeling like it’s trying too hard. The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. I’d definitely come back the next time I’m in Denver.
Classic diner featured on Triple D. The fastest kitchen serviced I have ever seen. Great staff, runners, servers. This place is clearly well run and managed. HUGE portions. Like, the definition of HUGE. And the green chili verde salsa is very good. Made with hatch chilies. Not New Mexico level, but up there.
Humongous portions of delicious breakfast served fast and piping hot! Extensive menu Etheredge everything from omelets to the classic, pancakes, waffles, fried chicken. Burritos, avocado toast, a very tall Mimosa - and fresh coffee. had the stacker, crispy hash browns, cheese, onion, crumbled bacon. 2 eggs. Husband biscuits and gravy with 3 sausage patties. Definitely a return to for breakfast!
While on a business trip to Denver, we decided to try Sam’s No. 3—especially since it’s been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives. Great downtown location with a lively diner atmosphere and a huge menu with plenty of options. I went with the French Dip. It was good and hit the spot, but didn’t quite stand out compared to others I’ve had. The creamy horseradish definitely helped bring it together. My dining partner ordered a loaded burrito with mac & cheese, tots, eggs, and chorizo—very flavorful and definitely the highlight of the meal. Overall, a solid experience. I’d come back and try something different—next time, probably breakfast since they serve it all day.
Service was very friendly from host to table side waiter. Food was average. Not sure what happened, but burger doneness was swapped between my wife and I. Side salad was a generous portion with plenty of vegetables and plenty of dressing on the side. They actually ran out of French fries and swapped that with tater tots. Tater tots were nothing inspirational. Burger was just average. Staff was attentive and friendly. My party order hamburger without tomato and attentively did not include tomato for side salad. Way to be attentive!
