How This Works
This map tracks newly licensed food-service and entertainment businesses in Denver using data from the Denver Open Data Catalog. The underlying data pipeline ingests the city's ArcGIS liquor and food establishment layer daily, filters for recently issued licenses, and geocodes addresses to place pins on the map.
What counts as “new”? A business is shown when its license issue date falls within your selected time window (30 days, 90 days, or 6 months). Pending licenses — issued but not yet active — appear in orange.
Coverage note: The data source covers restaurants, bars, brewpubs, and entertainment venues. General retail and fitness studios are not yet available from city open data — those category filters are disabled.
What We Track
Restaurants & Bars
Full-service restaurants, fast-casual spots, bars, taverns, brewpubs, and distilleries with newly issued Denver liquor and food-service licenses.
Entertainment Venues
Concert halls, comedy clubs, live music venues, event spaces, and nightclubs that have recently received entertainment licenses from the city.
Retail & Services
General retail storefronts and service businesses. Coverage coming soon — Denver's general business license data is not yet geocoded in the open data catalog.
Pending Approvals
Businesses with license applications submitted but not yet fully approved appear in orange. These locations are preparing to open — watch for status changes to Active.
