Was at my local brewery recently when a neighbor asked what my "back up" brew pub is. I started walking down a list... Westbound and Down, New Terrain, Oasis.. then said I really like the "vibe" at DB Arvada and the food truck so I go there especially since my wife and I like to ride bikes there and chill. That prompted him to ask if I had ever visited the Platte/OG location. I shared I used to stop in a lot... it was a post-work destination for many who worked at the Capital and were decompressing after legislative hearings. Including me. So, sharing his comment here... and I agree 100 percent. "That place is awesome. Beer is great and I really like the staff." He said he was there a few weeks earlier and they didn't just serve him beer. They took some time to ask how he was doing, give details on how the beers are made, overserve samples (oops). and chatted a bit to make him feel welcome. Then he called out a few of the team in particular. Molly and Chance were two I recall off the top. Bottom line... Wilding's purchase of the DB name and recipes, Great Divide, Station 26 and more was met by trepidation by most of those who are watching the consolidation of the market and realizing what it might mean to pivot a community asset into a corporate one . But the atmosphere can be saved by the folks who work there. Still a great experience at Denver Beer because of the folks on the floor.
Excellent brewery with wonderful staff to chat with. They certainly have something on tap for everyone including multiple NA options in cans. The outdoor seating was well shaded and clean but I really enjoyed the vibe inside. Very chill and laid back atmosphere where you can come as you are and enjoy some good brews.
Stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon with my wife and it turned into one of those perfect, simple Denver days. It was a rare 70° day in February, so the mellow vibe at the Platte Street location made it even better, super relaxed, not crowded, and just a great place to unwind. I ordered the salted watermelon lager (maybe a few others) and it was fantastic, really refreshing and a little different from my usual lineup. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, and everything just felt easy and welcoming. If you’re looking for a laid-back spot to enjoy a great beer and good company, especially on a nice day, this place absolutely delivers. Definitely a 5-star afternoon.
Typical brewery bistro setting. Loved the vibe. I loved the beer flights. I could make my own. The Duck Fat Fries are d’bomb. We ordered them as an app and then again with our meal. What is that white sauce? ♥️ Loved it. The Brisket Tacos spoke to me. The Farmhouse Sandwich was unique bc of the grilled flavor and the goat cheese. Classic burger. Delicious smoked wings. Good times.
Had a great time! Very large selection of craft beers, with a nice open space and even heated inside/outside seating. Big selection of games for groups and dog friendly! The staff was friendly and the location was surrounded by great shops and food, coffee, and tea spots that you were allowed to bring in (for those non-beer drinking buddies). Also a food truck immediately outside for quick bar snacks!
