What opened in Denver this month starts with a filing, not a door: Doubles Club at 3200 Larimer was licensed on Friday, October 23, 2026, the last day of the city's data. Denver issued 13 new business liquor licenses between Saturday, September 26, 2026 and Friday, October 23, 2026, against 9 in the same 28 days last year, according to the city's open data. A license is the city's record, not an opening date.
Key takeaways
- The 13 new licenses are up 44.4% on the 9 issued in the same 28 days last year.
- Hotel and Restaurant was the biggest type, with 6 licenses.
- Five Points had the most of any neighborhood, with 4.
- Six of the 13 licenses were issued in the last seven days of the period.
Thirteen new licenses against nine a year ago
The 28 days before this period produced only 3 licenses, so the jump is steep from either direction. Hotel and Restaurant carries nearly half of the 13. Beer & Wine and Brew Pub added 2 each, and Entertainment, Fermented Malt Beverage and Tavern and Cabaret added 1 each.
The city data gives no type split for last year, so the types explain this period but not the gap with last year. Small numbers move easily: a few filings in one week can swing a 28-day count.

Five Points led the neighborhood list
Four of the licenses sit in Five Points: Doubles Club, Odell Brewing Company at 2945 Larimer St, Crema Coffee House and Risica. Seven other neighborhoods have one each, from Baker in the north to Hampden South in the south.
Counts this small say where paperwork landed, nothing about a neighborhood's direction.

What the press has reported on Odell and Miya Moon
An opening alert from 5280 covered Odell Brewing Company's RiNo brewhouse and taproom, reporting a two-story taproom and a 10-barrel brewhouse. 303 Magazine reported that Odell opened its second location in RiNo, 29 years after the first batch in Fort Collins.
On Miya Moon, 5280's best new restaurants and bars page names restaurateur Shuang "Sherry" Crossland as operating several eateries through One Concept Restaurant Group, Miya Moon among them. The city issued the Miya Moon license at 6365 E Hampden Ave Unit 101 on Friday, October 2, 2026.
What to watch next week
Next week's edition sets its count against 13 and checks whether Five Points stays on top. The previous edition, What Opened in Denver: New Liquor Licences This Month, has the earlier 28-day count for comparison. What's opening in Denver and the Denver new businesses map follow the same filings.
Methodology
The counts come from the City and County of Denver's open data on liquor licenses, pulled October 27, 2026, with the city's data running through October 23, 2026. They cover Saturday, September 26, 2026 to Friday, October 23, 2026 (28 days), counted by original issue date.
The period before ran August 29 to September 25, 2026, and the same period last year ran September 27 to October 24, 2025. Only licenses for businesses are counted; one-off event permits and tastings are left out, and a business that sells no alcohol does not appear.
The neighborhood table leaves out licenses with no neighborhood on record. A license is not an opening, and these counts are small and are not rates.
