This Denver murals guide starts with two outings that should be planned separately: the RiNo Art District's guided graffiti tour, with free self-guided walk maps, and the public art downtown. The graffiti tour is a two-hour guided stroll with start points on North Broadway Avenue and Walnut Street.

Mural Districts in Denver

RiNo, the Santa Fe Arts District and Five Points are three separate walks, and no listed source ranks one above another. Each has its own page: RiNo Mural Walk covers the corridor block by block, Santa Fe Murals Denver covers the district's murals, and Five Points Street Art Denver covers that neighborhood.

Downtown is a different outing. Visit Denver's public art walking tour places a large amount of the city's public art downtown and in the Golden Triangle Creative District. Give it its own day, apart from the RiNo street art routes.

Denver Graffiti Tour Routes and Meeting Points

The RiNo Art District's Denver Graffiti Tour is a two-hour guided stroll through street art, and a guided walk is the way to have the street art pointed out as you go. Two of its routes have start points on the district's page:

  • Original Tour: starts in a lot on North Broadway Avenue.
  • North RiNo Tour: starts in a lot on Walnut Street.

Choose the route first, then go to its start point. Tours run year-round on weekends, and each route keeps its own schedule, so check the district's page for the weekend times of the route you pick. Private groups can book custom times on any day of the week. More public tours run in summer, which gives a visitor more departures to choose from.

Self-Guided RiNo Walk Maps

The RiNo Art District offers free self-guided walk maps through its Denver Graffiti Tour page, the same page that lists the guided routes.

A map suits a walker who wants to set the pace or whose day does not line up with a weekend tour. It also lets you stop wherever you like along the street. The guided start points work as anchors: the Broadway lot for a walk that begins on North Broadway Avenue, and the Walnut Street lot for one that begins on Walnut.

Downtown and Golden Triangle Public Art

Downtown and the Golden Triangle Creative District are where Visit Denver points visitors for public art. Plan it as its own day, separate from the RiNo walk. For a visual overview of the districts, the Denver Mural Map lays them out, and Denver iconic murals by neighborhood and street lists individual pieces to look for.
