I came here with friends for the first time and we were super excited, we arrived to find no one outside the building and were confused how to get inside. We saw a few people go in through a gate so we followed them in. Immediately we knew we had went in through the wrong way and right after arriving we were searching for the correct entrance in order to properly pay. As were we making our way through the crowd, a woman with dirty blonde hair approached us and told us to leave. We attempted to explain ourselves and tell her we got lost trying to find the entrance she immediately kicked us out. She was very aggressive and talked down to us, and we believe it was because our friend was a woman of color and the rest of us were the opposite of stereotypical women in Colorado. immediately when we walked into the club we knew we stood out, but we didn’t ever expect to be treated this way by someone who we believe was the manager. I have never been spoken to so disrespectfully in my entire life. I have gone to countless clubs in Colorado, and this was my first time experiencing this sort of harsh treatment. I feel as though a simple misunderstanding should have been easy to clear up if the manager was not speaking to us in such a harsh and hurtful way, especially when we kept explaining that we did not know our way around and simply followed the way people came in through. I would think that a club that’s so highly praised by others would have a manager that is kinder to the people who want to come and have a good time, especially if they are willing to pay and express that even after being accused of “sneaking in.” based on how the reaction is to this sort of experience, we will see if we ever return or ever speak highly of this club to anybody we know. Very disheartening experience, was so extremely excited to be part of the beautiful clubbing night that we were promised. I was with my girlfriend, not sure if that played a part in it either..but would not be surprised considering how my colored friend was treated.
amaaaaaazing club! Sounds lame to say it but it’s honestly so cool. Totally unique dark vibe. A couple weeks ago I saw Tripzy Leary and JennaR8, and they were AMAZING!!! Such incredible performers! I can’t wait to see JennaR8 play on her own too! I hope they book her for a pink baddie babe set! She is such an icon 🙌✨💖
Everything about this place is magical. I love the people that work there. I love the music and I love the people that come to the venue. One of the most magical places in Denver.
First time going there! Had an absolute blast! Bartender Hannah was phenomenal! All the artists were very talented! Love 140 💜
I love bass music and was in town for a work conference. There is so many venues and EDM events happening in Denver all the time I wasn't sure where to go. I ended up going to black box and it was a great time. The place: Cool little venue--- or is it? It actually has 2 rooms, a pool table room and a large outdoor patio. The scene: Less ravey- more underground aesthetic. The sound: 1 room was insanely loud 😳 loved it. You could truly feel the music from your feet upwards. Great setup. It was true old school dub sound and a little experimental bass. The second room is like a lounge area which was cool, they had a merch secrion. an artists alley. Farther down A WEED VENDING MACHINE. A pool table The music in here was popping but the sound was significantly less than the other room. You could tell people were trying to jam but the sound was too low all night. Great place.will come here for Halloween 🎃
