Great theater. We actually found it can be hard to see the near side of the stage from the upper box seats. Beautiful theater. The parking garage can get pretty clogged leaving. We found a lot close to Corinne’s and walked the .3 miles to and from.
Very nice theater and a great place to see plays. We've gone here to see Wicked and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. They WILL shut the doors on you if you're not in your seats by showtime. The doors will open after a number of minutes into the show, but my wife got up before the show to get something from concessions and she had to watch the first (probably) 10 minutes of the cursed child on a monitor with crappy sound. So be aware of that. Definitely show up about 30-40 minutes before your show to get a good seat. Concessions are usually pretty busy and crowded so be prepared to wait. The website says you can wear whatever you want, which is true, but we wrote T-shirt and shorts and felt under dressed. Most people dress up for the play's theme. While others just wear business casual or above. But it's really about what you're comfort wearing. The theater is in an alcove-type location. Both times we took the light rail and walked from Union Station so I don't know about the parking situation, but the entrance is a good 50 yards from the street. There's usually live music too by street performers nearby. Great vibe.
Immersive experience while watching the Cursed Child. We had seats in row A of the balcony, stage center. The seats were very comfortable and the experience was delightful. Tickets were reasonably priced. The parking garage was close, but arrive early if you want a decent spot and to minimize the the wait. Concessions had an okay selections, but were overpriced. Get there early during intermission so you're not still in line when the show resumes. The staff were helpful and kind. The staff at the gift counter were efficient and informative, but gifts were over-priced.
Recently went to a musical with my mom and Grandma. The handicap seats for them are decent. There is a bunch of walking to get to the seating area (per my grandma's review). And a slanted walkway at the end near the seats, that my grandma struggled with using just her cane. We should have brought her walker, but weren't sure if we could park it out of the way during the show (we found out, yes you can). People do walk in front of them (as the walkway is directly in front of the seats)... so there is some visibility blockage when folks come and go for the bathroom etc during the show. But they had a wonderful time regardless. They adored watching the asl translators nearby as well. When it's time to leave there is a decently long line for the elevators back up to the main level, so you'll need to wait a bit. But that wait time means the parking garage will be nearly cleared out when you get to your car. We really appreciate the ease of the parking garage connected to the performing arts area, cost $18 to park for the matinee showing on a Saturday.
My son and I came here to see SIX the musical and had a wonderful experience! The theater was beautiful, the staff were friendly, and the auditorium was spectacular! We can't wait to go back for another show because we had such a great time at the musical!
