The vibe here is so unique & refreshing! The cocktails are splendid. Service was lovely except for only providing a single crappy napkins with each plate. The food was below subpar. I was impressed with the prices looking over the menu but the food wasnt even worth it. The "bison burger"... I don't believe it was even bison.. but besides that was overcooked, i ordered medium & it was beyond well done, flavorless, unseasoned, & gray as meat could be. Fries were limp & from a frozen bag of cheap shoestring potatoes. So disappointing. Not even the plastic American cheese could add flavor to this. What a shame. Go for the fresh air forest surroundings & cocktails but save your appetite for food worth eating & spending your money on. Not even in this economy was this burger worth it.
We had a wonderful time at Forest room five! Our cocktails were so good and we will definitely be back! Our bartender Miriam was awesome!
This place is an absolute hidden gem…literally. Being from out of town…while trying to find it, I literally ended up using the ur’nil 2 doors down.. and then buying a soda next door while I asked for directions. BUT this place (Forest Room) was DEF worth the minor confusion on my part. Playing my own defense, there’s less oxygen up here vs. Dallas / Texas, in general. The staff here is RAD, the vibe is very NEIGHBORLY, and the neighborhood is bustling yet CHILL. It feels like a nice place to take a step back from the daily grind. I’ll be back, and I’ll bring my friends and fam. If I was a local, this would be my spot. Maybe all these positive Denver, CO vibes will make me uproot and make it happen. I still love Texas, but there really is no place like Denver. And this little gem encapsulates that entire attempt at describing the overall vibe.
Wow....just wow... truly a unique urban bar experience, but in the forest. They have done a really cool job of creating an oasis (forest oasis) in the middle of downtown Denver with awesome craft cocktails (with forest themed drinks), appetizers and entrees aimed at providing an escape from the city without leaving the city. I highly recommend experiencing this place at least once...you will want to go back. My one criticism if I had to make one is that it's not a place for dinner. You can definitely eat there...and the food is great, it's just really limited in selection - but they do not put themselves out there as a dinner place. I stick with my 5 stars - if you want a great evening with great drinks in a great and unique atmosphere in the city - this is your spot. If dinner is primary in importance for the evening - have dinner first and enjoy the after at the Forest Room 5, or enjoy pre-dinner drinks and go somewhere else for your soughtbafter dinner experience. Either way - you will not be disappointed in your time spent at Forest Room 5.
My portobello bread was way meh. I think they must have forgotten to add the chipotle aioli. The drinks were fabulous - one of the only places I've found that makes a delicious mojito from scratch. Hubby had a bear heaven that he said was very tasty, daughter had an N/A Paloma that she also says was very good. The atmosphere is amazing, a little slice of forested paradise in the middle of the city! Overall, a great experience.
