Yesterday was my anniversary. We booked reservations at Bar Dough got right in. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Our drinks were so good! We ordered two different pizzas and Omgoodness. That was the best pizza I have ever eaten. I’m not kidding you. Best pizza I’ve ever had. After we ate every single slice full and all. The waiter surprised us with a beautiful delicious cheese cake. Best I’ve ever had. Shout out to the owners, servers, cooks! We had a beautiful experience. Thank you!
The staff is so kind and just great people to talk to. I have only sat at the bar and the staff always made my experience even better. One of the best places to get an Aperol Spritz and Espresso Martinis. But honestly I have never had a bad drink from them. The pizza is super crispy and flavorful. The over look of this place is beautiful and makes the whole experience feel luxurious. 20% service charge is automatically added to your bill so that staff is being paid a liveable wage. They do point it out to you so you won't be too surprised.
We really liked the food and drinks at Bar Dough. The Food, Service and Atmosphere were a 5 out of 5. Their Whistle Pig Rye 10 yr in an Old Fashioned was priced very nicely at only $21! Our Bar tender was awesome and made one hell of an Old Fashioned. I gave two stars because of the forced 20% gratuity. If I would’ve known about this beforehand, I wouldn’t have come here. I absolutely cannot stand restaurants that force 20% gratuity, tax you for it, then expect you to tip on top of that?!? I didn’t tip and never do when 20% gratuity is forced on you. Although Bar Dough is awesome, I won’t be back unless that policy changes.
I was introduced to Bar Dough by the most awesome, beautiful person—Emily—who enriched my life for just a moment… a moment in time that will last forever, and pointed me toward one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Denver. From the moment I walked in, I knew this place was something special. The vibe was lively, fun, and full of sharp, engaging people—it felt like the kind of place where great conversations naturally happen. The restaurant itself was spotless and thoughtfully laid out, striking that perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. The Sicilian tuna crudo was absolutely outstanding—fresh, clean, and beautifully composed. Every bite hit with balance and intention, the kind of dish that makes you slow down and really enjoy what you’re eating. We also had what I believe was the cacio e pepe, and it was just as impressive—rich, simple, and executed perfectly. Service was excellent, and Brittany in particular was fantastic—attentive, personable, and dialed in without ever being overbearing. Drinks were strong, well-crafted, and came out quick, which only added to the experience. This is one of those places that gets everything right—food, service, and atmosphere. I’ll absolutely be back.
Went to Bar Dough during Happy Hour but ended up getting Nonna’s Dinner - where you select 3 items for a coursed meal. I am not sure I would recommend unless you really love rich desserts. The tuna was OK, nothing to write home about. The pasta and the pizza were the standouts. Absolutely delicious. And honestly, the Aperol spritzes on happy hour were maybe the best I’ve had in Denver. PERFECT ratio! I recommend getting a reservation at a table, because the high tops were uncomfortable (we asked to move). The music they were playing too was a 10/10!!!
