I went to Guadalupes Bazaar this year and their sausage sandwiches were some of the best I've ever have. I love how they put potatoes in with the peppers so good. Also had the enchiladas and they had such great flavor. I wish I knew if they had a restaurant or food truck. Wev will definitely be going back next year to the Bazaar the food is amazing.
Sad day. My husband and I attended the church festival today and we stopped in the church Our Lady of Guadalupe to observe the service and say a quick prayer from the vestibule. We came in right at the beginning of communion and were there until after the blessing and everyone was back seated. We were approached by a gentleman who asked us to leave because there was to be no food allowed. He quickly lead us to the door, respectfully. I was carrying a Yeti with water and my husband had an aqua Fresca from the festival. Understand it was 101 degrees and 1:30pm. We were keen to read the sign outside that stated- no food, gum chewing, no hats, etc. The point is, it did not say NO DRINKS. I am glad I was not there to find my way to God as this would have turned me off completely. What it did do is reinforce why I am a recovering Catholic and attend a church where ALL are welcome, even if you are carrying a water bottle. By the way, we donated 80$ cheerfully to your church function. Note: Please consider editing your mission statement on your website-current statement "We are a welcoming Catholic community called by God to live out the message of Christ in love and service to all people". It should be only 'SOME' people. Shalom.
Beautiful church! Miss so much Our Lady of Guadalupe's mural. All the fuss about that Beautiful work of historical art and the picture of Our Lady is now bigger than the crucifix above the altar!! Interesting. That was supposedly the issue about the mural being bigger than the Jesus!
It was a cool place. Quiet, tucked away, a nice little gem for an urban explorer!
Beautiful church a very special n nostalgic place for me great memories from my childhood. IMy family has baptized our new family members here as well as giving our loved ones beautiful funeral services, and also their BAZAARS FULL FUN, AND GREAT FOOD AND DRINKS AS WELL AS THE LIVE MUSIC
