Poetry Slam at Bug Theatre

Amazing. Finally got to experience a comedy show...freak train and if was incredible!!! The talent, the theater, the friendliest kindest audience you'll ever meet and so welcoming to newbies. Support local theater and talent... we will be back. PS the concessions are amazing too.

The Bug really is a treasure and something special. It's hard to find places to show a film or to perform to a live audience. It's one of the true unique human experiences. Please go check out the Bug and support what they do! Team Human!

This is a very nice venue with friendly and attentive staff. However, I was very disappointed with their open use of Generative AI. I visited in May to see their production of The Slime Court. While the actors and staff did their best creating an enjoyable show, it was overall not a pleasant experience due to their AI "ads". In a profession that exists because of human creation, it felt cheap and unnecessary and overall ruined the experience for my friend and myself. I would love to see The Bug Theatre collaborating with local artists instead. It would show that they take human creativity seriously, that they care about the community and their opinions, and I believe it would open the door to new creative possibilities. If the Bug Theatre changes their use of AI in the future, I would love to go back and recommend friends to the venue.

This place is so fun! I've been to two comedy shows here, to see my boyfriend's favorite comedian, Jimmy Pardo. It was a great show! The atmosphere is fun and the venue is pretty. He always jokes about how deep the stage is! Lol. 🥰

Such a fun venue! It's the perfect size to feel energized and simultaneously intimate. They had a great little concession stand with good beer and snacks. The chairs are red, velvet and comfy. No matter where you sit, it will be a good seat. The surrounding neighborhood is a fun place to walk around and hang out. We can't wait to go back!
