Start at Park Burger South Pearl Patio if cocktails are the goal: it pours them from 11 a.m. and has a patio. Beer, wine and cocktails in Wash Park come from six places on South Pearl Street and South Broadway. Three serve cocktails: Park Burger South Pearl Patio, The Village Cork and Sushi Den & Izakaya Den. Three pour beer and wine only: Quiero Arepas Café, La Chiva Colombian Fusion and Sushi Den Patio. Every one of the six serves beer and wine. Hours change, so check a place's site before heading out.

The rest of the page runs by the clock, from a Sunday 10 a.m. opening to a 4:30 p.m. dinner start.

Sunday Morning Beer and Wine

Quiero Arepas Café is the one to know for a Sunday morning drink, because it has the earliest opening on any day: 10 a.m. on Sunday. Close comes early too, at 2 p.m., so Sunday here is a brunch-hour plan and not an evening one. Monday to Saturday it runs 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Colombian café and arepa spot sits at 1859 S Pearl St and serves brunch, breakfast and coffee alongside beer and wine, and its site carries the hours.

It has the highest Google rating of the six, 4.8 of 5. The entrance and seating are wheelchair accessible, and it has free street parking. No cocktails here: this is a glass of wine or a beer with an arepa, and nobody is asking for more than that before noon.

A Family-Run Colombian Dining Room on South Broadway

Last call comes first at La Chiva Colombian Fusion: it ties for the latest closing on any day, 10 p.m., with Sushi Den & Izakaya Den and Sushi Den Patio. The doors open daily at 11 a.m., so it stays open through the full afternoon and into the evening.

The mom-and-pop dining room at 1446 S Broadway serves hearty Colombian fare that includes empanadas. It pours beer and wine and serves coffee. Outdoor seating is available and reservations are taken, which helps for a table of friends. It has free street parking. More on the kitchen is on the restaurant's site. It suits a long, unhurried meal where the drink is a beer or a glass of wine and not a cocktail.

Cocktails From an 11 a.m. Start

Park Burger South Pearl Patio and The Village Cork both open at 11 a.m. daily and both serve cocktails. Both sit on South Pearl Street, which makes a walk between them simple.

Park Burger South Pearl Patio: Wash Park
Park Burger

Park Burger South Pearl Patio is a relaxed neighborhood joint built around creative burgers with all the trimmings, with craft beer on the side. Cocktails, wine and dessert are also on offer, and there is outdoor seating at 1890 S Pearl St. It is open daily until 9 p.m., and the site has the burger details. A burger and a beer on the patio is the plain version of the plan, and a cocktail with dessert is the longer one. Street parking is free.

The Village Cork is a small, easygoing, modern corner stop at 1300 S Pearl St, built on charcoal rotisserie poultry and hearty sides. Cocktails, beer, wine and dessert are all served, and it is the only place among the six with vegetarian options. Daily hours run 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., so it belongs to a late lunch or an early supper and not a late night. The entrance and seating are wheelchair accessible, and more is on its site.

Dinner-Hour Cocktails, Wine and Beer

Sushi Den & Izakaya Den, Denver

Both Sushi Den spots open at 4:30 p.m. and close at 10 p.m., so they are the evening end of the day. One pours cocktails and the other does not.

Sushi Den & Izakaya Den is the cocktail pick after dark: a hip eatery at 1487A S Pearl St that turns out traditional, intricate Japanese small plates in a stylish space. Cocktails, beer, wine and coffee are served, and reservations are taken. It is open Tuesday to Sunday, 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and its site has the rest. Small plates suit a table that wants to order a few things and keep going, and prices run expensive.

Sushi Den Patio serves beer and wine, not cocktails, so it belongs with the beer-and-wine group even though it keeps dinner hours. The Japanese restaurant at 1487 S Pearl St has outdoor seating and takes reservations, and it serves coffee as well. Dinner runs daily 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and lunch runs Monday to Friday 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., closed Saturday and Sunday. It is the only place among the six with takeout, and the entrance and seating are wheelchair accessible. The site has the menu and ordering.

Getting there and parking

Street parking is free at Quiero Arepas Café, La Chiva Colombian Fusion, Park Burger South Pearl Patio, The Village Cork and Sushi Den & Izakaya Den. Sushi Den & Izakaya Den also has valet parking, and it is the only place of the six with paid garage parking. For a late dinner at either Sushi Den spot, a rideshare or transit ride home is the sensible finish.

Pairing for a day: start with a Sunday arepa brunch at Quiero Arepas Café before it closes at 2 p.m., then move to Park Burger or The Village Cork for cocktails once the afternoon is under way. Finish at Sushi Den & Izakaya Den for dinner. For other Wash Park plans, see patios in Wash Park, coffee shops that all serve breakfast and five hidden gems.

Updated 2026-10-16: retitled and reopened on beer, wine and cocktails, sorted by opening hour; removed photo credits, stray text and "is listed" phrasing; Sushi Den Patio is no longer called a cocktail place. ```
