Check E Colorado Ave first when planning around Denver street occupancy permits from Wednesday, October 14, 2026 to Tuesday, October 20, 2026. It holds 18 permitted stretches, the most of any street, according to the street occupancy permits dataset. A count is permitted stretches on that street, not how long any lane is blocked, and these figures are city permits for those dates, not confirmation that a closure happened.
The Denver construction map shows the work by location.
Key takeaways
- The city lists 1,223 permitted street stretches for the week.
- Those stretches fall under 406 distinct permits.
- Of the full street and alley closures in effect, 60 begin this week.
- Boring and/or Wells permits cover 88 stretches, up from 37 the week before.

Methodology
Counts come from the City and County of Denver's street occupancy permits, pulled 2026-10-14 for October 14 to October 20, 2026. The week before is October 7 to October 13, 2026, and the same week last year is October 15 to October 21, 2025.
A permit allows part of a street to be occupied between two dates; it is not an observed closure, and work can start late, end early or be cancelled. Emergency closures have no permit.
Open-ended permits, state highways and interstates, and streets outside Denver are not counted. Counts are stretches, not rates, lengths of time or numbers of blocked lanes.
