Larceny led Denver Police reports for the seven days ending 2026-10-12, with 213 of 1,016 reports in the City and County of Denver open data. Five Points had the most reports of any neighborhood, with 70. These are counts of reports, and the sections below say what they can and cannot show.
Larceny and the other top categories
Larceny logged 213 reports for the week, the largest category in the dataset. All other crimes came second with 172 reports, and public disorder third with 161. Together those three categories account for 546 of the week's 1,016 reports.
Drug alcohol logged 95 reports. Auto theft logged 63 and burglary 62. Those three add 220 more reports, so the six categories named so far cover 766 of the 1,016. The dataset names these categories, and a label here is the city's own. This page cites no definition of them.
Theft from motor vehicle and assault counts
Theft from motor vehicle logged 86 reports for the week, according to the open data. Aggravated assault logged 50.
Those are the counts for one week. A single week's count says how many reports were filed in that window. It does not show a direction, so no trend is claimed for either category. The number to check next week is the citywide count against this week's 1,016.
Neighborhood report counts
Five Points logged 70 reports, the most of any neighborhood in the dataset. Capitol Hill followed with 44, then Central Park with 43, East Colfax with 42 and Union Station with 40.
The gap between Five Points and Capitol Hill is 26 reports. The gaps among the next four neighborhoods are a few reports each, and a difference of one to four reports is not a pattern. Capitol Hill's 44 is two more than East Colfax's 42, and Union Station's 40 is four fewer than Capitol Hill's.
Counts follow city boundaries and are not rates. A neighborhood with many reports is not a more dangerous one, because the data does not adjust for residents or visitors. A district that draws crowds can log more reports than a residential one for that reason alone.

Airport area and police jurisdiction
The Denver International Airport area logged 27 reports for the week in the open data. The Denver Police Department provides police services to the entire county, including Denver International Airport, which is owned by the City & County of Denver.
That is why airport-area reports appear in the same Denver Police dataset as the neighborhoods. The previous edition led on the year-on-year change. This edition leads on category counts.

Method and what the data leaves out
The numbers come from Denver Police reported-offence data in the City and County of Denver open data, pulled 2026-10-14. The week covered is the seven days ending 2026-10-12.
Counts are reports, not convictions or rates. A report can be filed for an incident that never leads to a charge, and an arrest or a charge is an allegation. Homicide and sexual assault are not in the dataset.
Neighborhood counts follow the city's boundaries and are not adjusted for population or visitors. A rise in reports can reflect more reporting rather than more incidents. This page states only the counts the dataset gives for the week and draws no rate from them.
