Do not sleep on Kachina Cantina! The homemade blue corn tortillas took the tacos to the next level. The cornbread pudding is not to be missed. Our server, Amanda M, was super attentive and made great recs. Also love that they support indigenous people owned businesses. Great spot, cannot recommend it enough.
Since it was right next to the Maven, we decided to drop into Kachina Cantina for a full meal. The staff was incredibly welcoming and provided great service throughout our visit. For drinks, the House Marg was a bit "okayish," but the El Sol was exceptionally good—highly recommend that one! We started with the Chips and Guac, which were fresh and tasty. Dinner was a bit of a mixed bag: the Southwest Chicken Bowl was flavorful and hit the spot, but the Enchiladas unfortunately didn't live up to the rest of the meal. Overall, it's a solid spot with a fun atmosphere and friendly faces. A great place to grab a drink and some appetizers if you're staying in the area!
Nice breakfast burritos, quick efficient service in a stylish modern setting. Ordered my burrito with birria. Great balance of flavors and ingredients. Didn’t feel like they cheaped out with tater tots, everything fresh and as it should be. Loved the sauces it was smothered with. Between that and the frozen margarita with Passionfruit and convenient parking, I’ll be back. One thing I’d like to see differently is the guacamole: While vibrant and flavorful with bits of crunchy toasted pepita, red onions, and a drizzle of delightful olive oil, some bites tasted like an avocado on the cusp of spoilage (brown color, a bit of unpleasant floral flavor) were used.
Food was delicious and service was excellent! Ian was so kind and kept us informed when there was a slight delay in the kitchen. The manager also came to address the issue directly with us and was very sweet. David was so friendly as well! The staff will be the main reason I come back to Kachina. That and the lamb! Amazing, served with a very special mole. The rest of the food we ordered was yummy too. We will be back!
Came here randomly and decided to have dinner with my wife. We started with just your basic drinks and ordered the Fundido. The salsa with the chips brought out was almost perfect for mozzarella sticks. (It tasted more like marinara) not a fan of it so we ordered the salsa plate to get different tastes. The fundido was ok, I thought the green chillies would be a good change from the normal chorizo but the green chillies did not have much flavor. Cheese was very good though. (It did take them a while to get this to us). I then ordered the chicken enchiladas and the wife got the Birra. I was so ket down by the enchiladas. Burnt and over cooked. If I'm honest tasted like very basic Mexican food you can get anywhere. Now the Birra plate was amazing. Super delicious and juicy. I would absolutely reccomend this dish. I wish I ordered that too. Then we wanted to finish it with desert. So we got the tacos and stuffed sopapillas. Holy moly it was so good!!!!! The filling are light and good. I absolutely would come here for the birra and deserts. Just avoid the enchiladas. I would come back here again and would reccomend you coming here if in the area.
