B&GC is a cocktail bar in a basement beneath the Halcyon Hotel in Cherry Creek, in the former Cherry Creek Post Office. Its own site describes it as a clandestine drinking spot built around post-WWII-style cocktailing. Eater Denver says the entrance is an unmarked door in the alley between Second and Third avenues, marked Stair 3 with a gold doorbell, where a hostess comes out to check for a reservation. Eater Denver says reservations are made by text on the day of the visit, after 3 p.m. The bar's site gives 720-925-8598 for texting reservations and says reservations can also be booked through OpenTable. Visitors can order cocktails, beer and wine, and small plates such as deviled eggs and shrimp cocktail.
