Denver is a city of neighborhoods, and its guides on this site follow that arrangement, one neighborhood at a time. Highland, the neighborhood northwest of downtown, has boundaries that can be checked against a listed source, and the citywide guides below sort their places by neighborhood too.
Denver as a city of neighborhoods
Denver is the capital and most populous city of Colorado, and it is both a city and a county in the state (Denver - Wikipedia). Each neighborhood guide takes one area at a time, because a neighborhood is a set of blocks that a person can walk in order.
Highland's boundaries
Highland is a city-center neighborhood immediately northwest of downtown Denver. Its edges are West 38th Avenue to the north, a Union Pacific Railroad line on the east, the South Platte River to the southeast, Speer Boulevard on the south and Federal Boulevard on the west (Highland, Denver - Wikipedia). The same neighborhood is also called East Highland, Lower Highland or LoHi, so a map using any of those names is showing the same area.
Neighborhood guides available now
The neighborhood guide linked here is the Auraria Denver Events Guide. New neighborhoods appear on the site as the records grow, and a guide is written only once enough places in that neighborhood are held to write it from facts.
Citywide guides by topic
Five guides cut across the neighborhoods by topic. The Denver Brunch Guide: Best Spots by Neighborhood (2026) and the Denver Happy Hours: The Neighborhood-by-Neighborhood Deal Guide (2026) sort their places by neighborhood, as do the Best Patios in Denver: Outdoor Dining by Neighborhood (2026) and the Denver Mural Map: Street Art Guide by Neighborhood. For coffee, the Best Coffee Shops in Denver: Map & Neighborhood Guide (2026) pairs a map with a neighborhood guide.
How a neighborhood guide is built
A neighborhood gets a guide once enough places in it are held to write it from facts. A line the site cannot support is left out rather than guessed, so each guide grows only as far as its facts do.
Updated 2026-10-13: Added Highland's boundaries from the Highland entry and the citywide guides; dropped the old FAQ and unsourced lines.
