Just saw Next to Normal and the performance was remarkably good. All the actors were extremely talented. It was the most moving musical I've ever seen. The stage/set was perfect. My only complaint is that the ushers were a bit micro managey like telling us how to get to our seats when we could see how to get to them without assistance and then running over to tell me where to place my coffee and program when I sat down. It felt a little bizarre. The theater is beautiful. I wish I could see NtN here again and again.
I saw Next to Normal with my friends at the Wolf this past weekend, and it's not an exaggeration to say that it's probably the best musical production I've ever seen. Heart-wrenching, cathartic, powerful, and *so* well performed. The team for this show is at the top of their game. As for the theatre itself, it genuinely seems like there's not a bad seat in the house due to the three-quarter thrust design of the stage. We had Tier 3 seats (second cheapest) and felt like our view was perfect. I'm considering going back to see Next to Normal a second time with my siblings, and it feels good to know that we could go for the cheapest seats in the house and still have an amazing experience. The staff were so lovely as well — everyone from the security to the seating entrances was friendly and kind, and one of the ushers even came around during intermission to hand out tissues ahead of the second act 😛 I love this theatre and would absolutely come back!
Extremely accommodating and kind staff! I needed ADA seating last minute and they were incredibly helpful and supportive. Plus the venue itself is great and the show (Next to Normal) was incredible!!
We came here for the Christmas Carol production on Christmas eve. It was such a great experience!! The theater is small so you feel like you are in the action. The production was awesome. This is definitely more of a basic theater than the rest of the complex. We didn't mind but just be aware of that.
Amazing! This theater is beautiful and A Christmas Carol was outstanding! Great stage, great set, great acting, great everything. I was very impressed by the quality of this production and the seat layout helped make it easy to feel immersed in the story. The rows below are lower than other theaters and seating of this type so you can see the stage rather than the back of someone’s head. Our group will plan to see another show here soon. Convenient access to restaurants and parking.
