Very nice home style creole breakfast / brunch spot. Nothing fancy, but a great way to start a day in Denver. You must get the beignets, but don’t expect to be able to finish more than one if you’re ordering an entree. I really liked the blackened catfish, and I appreciate that the service was quick and friendly. It took about 10-15 minutes to get a table after checking in on a Friday morning at about 10:30 am.
Lovely brunch at Lucile’s! We had a short wait for our big group but they have a nice waiting area. We started with a few orders of beignets which were awesome! I decided on the Cajun breakfast and it was great. I loved the biscuit. My friends had the shrimp and grits and loved it as well! Will be back for more! Pro tip - do half grits half potatoes so you get to have both! - Beignets w strawberry rhubarb jam (SO good!), apple butter, and blueberry jam - Cajun Breakfast: Red beans (w/meat), poached eggs, and hollandaise w grits and potatoes and a buttermilk biscuit.
Service and atmosphere are excellent. Too bad the food doesn’t match the front of the house. Grits had an old flavor and the salmon was basically jerky. Super disappointing. $100 for food we threw away. I did complain and nothing was done.
A wonderful place to grab a bite of unique Creole dishes. We came in during more busier hours and were seated at the side bar. Good bang for your buck with the cocktails. Freshly squeezed OJ for the mimosas. The gumbo was absolutely delicious and filling. The Eggs Sardoh were cooked to perfection. The main highlight being the savory biscuits they bring out as an opener to your main dish. Food was amazing. The one point docked in the service only is due to our server giving back change in an unusual way. A proper tip for our bill would have been $10-13. But he only handed back larger bills in what I assumed was to imply giving him a $20 tip. Not a very respectable way to go about his personal business within the establishment. Other than that it was a great experience!
Lucile’s on Logan is a true Denver gem. It’s a family-run spot with multiple locations, and they consistently serve up incredible gumbo, biscuits, beignets, and some of the best Bloody Marys around. They recently hosted their second annual Mardi Gras & Mardi Paws celebration in collaboration with Ella’s Events, and it was such a fun, festive experience. Between the DJ, tarot card readings, and hands-down the best puppy parade I’ve ever seen, it was the perfect community event. When I first moved to Denver, Lucile’s on Logan was one of the very first places I tried. I immediately fell in love with the patio and firepit—it meant I could bring my dog, Kameron MacMiller, stay warm, and feel right at home. I ordered the gumbo, and it came with a biscuit and homemade jam that instantly reminded me of my grandma’s cooking. That experience alone helped convince me to move to the Wash Park area. Monica and Jersey were some of my first friendly faces in the neighborhood, and that hospitality has stuck with me ever since. I love the family- and pet-friendly vibes here, and special events like Mardi Gras are such a great way to bring the community together, create memories, and build real connections with neighbors. Lucile’s isn’t just a restaurant—it’s part of the neighborhood.
