The reflective buildings in the area spread the daylight and the sunsets. 😍 Haley, James, and Carey are very approachable and have great attitudes.
Carie Howard has been the best maintenance guy I've ever worked with, he has always been a highlight of my day living in this building and has always went out of his way to go above and beyond.
I’ve been living here for some time now. I will first list the positive factor, then list the problems. Pro’s: 1. Geographic location and proximity to everything. 2. Maintenance is excellent, and communicative. They do their job, and they do the job ASAP. Cons: 1. The geographic location. In particular with this block, is absolutely littered with homeless people anywhere within the block that you go. They camp out in the back alley between the cars that are parked in the alley, the urinate and defecate All on and around this apartment property. There have been more than a few times where you simply want to get some food from the 7-Eleven on this Block, and you see the homeless doing drugs right at the gate or even front door. This has happened multiple times, and twice I have even seen homeless people “doing it“. There have been homeless people even inside the building multiple times, even stealing packages. Definitely not worth the money that you pay to rent here. The property manager has done nothing to improve this situation whatsoever. An additional note having to do with this location is that we share this block with a fire department. So all day and all night the firetrucks are going off. They will affect your sleep if you choose to leave the windows open at all to get fresh air. 2. The price per square footage. For What you pay Per square footage here, you can get a much much MUCH nicer apartment 2 to 3 blocks away. This building was built in 1957, natural light was never a factor to be considered by the architects here. This very little natural light and you will find that your Apartment will be very dark. The bedrooms don’t even have a ceiling light or ceiling fan for when it gets hot. 3. The age of the building. As mentioned earlier this building was built in 1957. That being said, since having moved here just a few years ago, the apartment has flooded four times, the AC unit was the reason for two of those floods. So if you want to use the AC when it gets swelteringly hot in summertime, you can either turn on AC and risk flooding your apartment, or you could open the window to hear the ambulance and the homeless yelling throughout the day and the night. The choice is yours. Additionally, the water temperature does vary wildly. When you turn on the water anywhere in this building, you never know where you’re gonna get. And yes, the reviews commenting on roaches and other insects is accurate and true. I have known many tenants to complain about the same problem. 4. Lastly, the new Property manager. I do not say this lightly, but the stories that I have heard as of recently are concerning. I have heard now from multiple people of color. Black, Hispanic, mixed race, that this new property manager LITERALLY hides behind her desk and tries to avoid interacting with and or dealing with tenants of color, particularly black. That doesn’t seem to make much sense to me as this creates an unnecessary obstacle for tenants of color within this building, when they need things resolved. We did not have this particular problem with any of the previous property managers. But if you’re white, you will not have this problem.
The team that works here is top notch. Carey from maintenance and Paul in the front office 10/10. Without these two still working here I wouldn’t have signed a new lease. Always kind and prompt and willing to go above and beyond for the tenants.
My husband and I moved into Skyline 1801 about a month ago, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice! From the very start, Julia from the leasing office made everything so smooth. She’s not only incredibly professional but also genuinely caring and thoughtful. Julia guided us through each step of the process with patience and a friendly smile, making what can often be a stressful process feel effortless. She even surprised us with a cute plant as a welcome gift, adding a special touch to our new home. Julia truly goes above and beyond, and it’s clear she cares about the residents here. The maintenance team here is fantastic as well. Whenever I’ve had a request, the response has been super prompt. The maintenance guy is friendly, efficient, and always ensures everything is taken care of quickly. The location is also great — by God’s grace we feel safe in the neighborhood. The building itself is fantastic, with a beautiful rooftop that offers stunning views and a great common space where residents can relax, there is a gym and a gaming room too. It’s a perfect place for anyone looking to live in Denver. I would definitely recommend Skyline 1801 to anyone considering moving to the area. This apartment really feels like home!
