Start with Union Station Great Hall if the day is still undecided. It serves brunch every day, and a table can be reserved. Five other stops around the station also serve brunch with outdoor seating. This page sorts them by street, so the day each one serves brunch and where to park are settled before you leave. For sit-down plans with a larger party, Places for Groups in Union Station That Take Reservations covers who takes reservations.

Brunch at the Station on Wynkoop Street

Union Station Great Hall is the widest net: bars and eateries with communal seating and patios inside a train station that dates to 1881, as Denver Union Station describes it. The address is 1701 Wynkoop St. It is open daily from 5:30 a.m. to midnight, so brunch can start early or run late on any day of the week. It serves brunch and coffee, has outdoor seating and live music, takes reservations, and is rated 4.6 of 5. Parking is paid street parking or a paid garage.

Down the same address, at 1701 Wynkoop St #155, Mercantile Dining & Provision puts a New American eatery, a wine library, an artisanal market and a barista bar under one roof. Mercantile describes seasonal American cuisine and craft cocktails. This is the Sunday pick for a sit-down meal: brunch runs Sun 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday it opens at 10:30 a.m. and stays until 9 p.m., and Monday through Friday it opens at 11 a.m. and closes at 9 p.m. It takes reservations, has outdoor seating, allows dogs, and serves coffee. It is also the expensive stop of the six, and it is rated 4.5 of 5.

The Bean Whistle is a specialty kiosk inside the station's great hall, built for commuters and travelers and serving them since the station reopened (see The Bean Whistle on Facebook). It is the one place of the six that serves breakfast and dessert, and it has the highest rating at 4.8 of 5. The address is 1515 Arapahoe St Ste 2-200. Hours run Mon-Thu 7 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and Fri 7 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday it is closed, so it belongs to a weekday plan. Coffee, brunch and outdoor seating are on offer, and it sits at the inexpensive end of the six. It has free street parking.

Rooftop Patio Brunch on Blake Street

Rooftop Brewing Co. is the pick when the view matters more than the menu. Tap Fourteen describes a rooftop patio with skyline views and Colorado craft beers on draft, a half block from Coors Field. The bar sits at 1920 Blake St. It serves brunch and coffee, has live music, and takes reservations, which helps for a patio table. The entrance and seating are both wheelchair accessible. Prices are moderate, and it is rated 4.4 of 5. Paid street parking and paid garage parking both go with it.

Weekend Brunch on Market Street

Rhein Haus Denver: Union Station

Rhein Haus Denver turns brunch into a beer-hall meal: brats, giant pretzels and schnitzel, plus bocce courts. Rhein Haus also pours 24 beers on draft from local breweries. It is at 1415 Market St, and brunch runs Sat-Sun 10 a.m.-3 p.m. It is closed for brunch Monday through Friday. Coffee is served, tables can be reserved, dogs are allowed, and there is outdoor seating. Prices are moderate, and it is rated 4.3 of 5. Parking is paid street parking.

Tony's trades the beer hall for arcade games and a bar. Tony's own site describes a family-friendly sports bar in downtown Denver serving chicken tenders, smashburgers, buffalo chicken sandwiches and waffle cut fries. The address is 1937 Market St. It serves brunch and beer, takes reservations, has outdoor seating, and allows dogs. Its rating is 4.7 of 5, and prices are moderate. The entrance and seating are wheelchair accessible. Street parking comes both free and paid.

Getting There and Parking

Free street parking narrows the field fast. The Bean Whistle on Arapahoe St has it, and Tony's at 1937 Market St has free spots alongside paid ones. Rhein Haus Denver at 1415 Market St has paid street parking. The Great Hall at 1701 Wynkoop St and Rooftop Brewing Co. at 1920 Blake St add a paid garage to their paid street spots.
