The food was tasty. I got the 720 burger with fries and onion rings. The rings came out cold but the waitress brought fresh ones out which made up for it. I also got the OG green chili not my favorite but not living with regrets just won’t get that again. Burger was good I would order it again but I’d go with large fries not small if you’re in the mood for fries. Good vibes decent price but not sure why there was a 3.5% service charge.
busy night, but staff was friendly and food was delicious! table got the ciao bella and veracruz burger (no complaints!). small mix up with our side that was quickly sorted. seasoning on the fries was good, but the steak fries were a clear winner in freshness. ambience was nice, we sat in the bar area. al la cart sides and certain drinks can make your meal become a bit pricey. overall would recommend! Great burger spot in Cherry Creek! Our server was great and the Cherry Bombs were to die for! My fiancée got the Cry Baby burger and it was the best she's ever had! Really great spot for a quick dinner!
What a find! After missing lunch and staring down a long night of work, we stumbled across The Cherry Cricket just a couple minutes from our job site—and I’m glad we did. This place delivers exactly what you want in a classic sports bar: great energy, tons of TVs, and a menu that makes it really hard to choose just one thing. Burger lovers… you’re going to feel right at home here. I went with the Burger in a B owl and added blue cheese—and let me tell you, they don’t mess around. This wasn’t a light sprinkle… they piled it high, and as a blue cheese fan, I appreciated every bite. The burger itself was cooked well and packed with flavor. It came with steak fries, and I asked for them well done… unfortunately, that’s where things missed the mark a bit. They didn’t quite have that crisp I was hoping for. Service was okay—nothing bad, just not particularly engaging or memorable. That said, the overall experience was solid. Between the atmosphere, the creativity of the menu, and the quality of the burger, this is definitely a spot I’d come back to if I lived nearby. Bottom line: Great burger joint with a true sports bar feel—just a little room for improvement on execution and service.
A Denver Staple, But One Visit Was Enough The Cherry Cricket is a true Denver landmark—a nostalgic, modest brick-and-mortar building on 2nd Ave that’s been slinging burgers and brews since 1945. After hearing so much about it, we finally made our first visit, but unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the "legendary" reputation. The service got off to a rocky start; when we arrived, the bar staff was a bit rude when we simply asked whether we should seat ourselves. Considering the restaurant wasn't busy at the time, the wait felt unnecessary. We were eventually seated next to the iconic fish tanks right by the kitchen, which provided a nice bit of "Cricket" atmosphere. As for the food, it was a mixed bag. We ordered our burgers medium, but they arrived rare and very pink. While the flavor of the meat was actually quite tasty, the cook was just too underdone for our preference. To make matters worse, both the fries and the tater tots were served cold. Our server started out attentive, but completely disappeared when it came time for the bill. We eventually had to go searching for him and ended up just paying at the bar so we could head out. We can finally say we’ve been to Denver’s most famous burger dive, but between the cold sides, undercooked meat, and inconsistent service, we won't be back.
