This has easily become one of my favorite pizza places. I’ve been here about three times, and every visit has been amazing. The only reason I don’t come more often is because it’s a little expensive for me, but it’s absolutely worth it when I can treat myself. In fact, I’m planning to celebrate my birthday here because I love the food that much. I was a little disappointed to read some of the recent reviews, but what really stood out to me was seeing the owner personally respond and genuinely try to make things right. That level of care and accountability is something you don’t see everywhere, and it says a lot about the kind of business they’re running. Every restaurant can have an off day, but when an owner is involved, listens to customers, and works to improve, that deserves recognition. I’m looking forward to coming back for my birthday, and I hope more people give this place a chance. The pizza is delicious, the passion is obvious, and I wish I could afford to eat here more often! 🍕❤️
Proto’s is a special place to me. It’s been a staple in this location for over 25 years, and for good reason. The pizza is always delicious, fresh-made, and served with a great thin crust. I kept it simple with a pepperoni pizza and a couple of drinks—just about the perfect way to enjoy an afternoon. I also tried the Prototini and the classic Cosmopolitan, both of which had delicious flavor and paired well with the meal. Street parking can be a challenge, so a little patience helps. The service was attentive, and everything came out quickly. Definitely a place I’d recommend if you’re looking for a sit-down meal
The crust was a bit thinner than I like, cracker like. It was also a bit overcooked. I think they may have been understaffed. They looked busy, it just took a while to get the drink order then the food order, then the food. Pizza takes a while to cook but we were there almost 2 hours. We ordered 2 pizzas.
Placed an online order last week and our order accidentally got mixed up with someone else’s. The staff was SUPER quick to fix the order and really apologetic, and really nice. I only gave 4 stars because Pizza was good but nothing overwhelming. But definitely would get again if I was craving a thin crust pizza!
The pizza is fabulous! This Caesar salad is definitely worth it. We tried the Angel pizza and it was so good. You can watch the Chef make the pizza in the back. Thin crust and good vibes! The service was amazing. I also got a partial baked pizza to go! I’m so happy I found this restaurant
