This Santa Fe Arts District Denver Events Guide starts on Santa Fe Drive, which runs through the district from West 13th Avenue to West Alameda Avenue in Denver, Colorado. The district is a nonprofit membership organization of hundreds of artists, galleries, studios and businesses (Denver's Art District on Santa Fe (Wikipedia)). This guide is built from the district's own listings, so each date and hour below is one the district publishes. It is set up for planning by date: the First Friday and Third Friday evenings, a daytime Sunday listing, two exhibitions with end dates, and the Día de los Muertos show at CHAC Gallery.

Santa Fe Arts District Denver Events Guide: Monthly Walk Dates

The evening calendar carries the most dates, so start there. The First Friday Art Walk runs on the first Friday of every month, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. (Art District on Santa Fe). The district also organizes Third Friday Art Nights, which puts two evening dates on the calendar each month.

Two galleries list evening hours for those nights. Niza Knoll Gallery, at 915 Santa Fe Drive, is open from 5 to 9 p.m. on First Friday and from 5 to 8 p.m. on Third Friday (Art District on Santa Fe events). Artists on Santa Fe Gallery, at 747 Santa Fe Drive, also keeps extended evening hours on both nights (Art District on Santa Fe events).

In August, the First Friday closes Santa Fe Drive from 7th to 12th Avenues, so anyone driving that evening should expect the closure (Art District on Santa Fe). Check those cross streets before choosing where to park.

Sundays and Daytime Gallery Days

Sundays on Santa Fe is the daytime listing. It runs on the last Sunday of each month, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Art District on Santa Fe). A daytime visit is best planned around that listing rather than the evening walks.

Gallery days fill the rest of the week. Niza Knoll Gallery keeps regular hours from Thursday through Sunday, from 1 to 4 p.m. (Art District on Santa Fe events). Artists on Santa Fe Gallery is open Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m. These are the adjusted hours the listing gives for construction (Art District on Santa Fe events).

Fall Exhibitions With End Dates

The Center for Visual Art, MSU Denver, at 965 Santa Fe Drive, presents exhibitions by local and regional artists. It also hosts artist talks and community programming. Its current show, Sequesterings, runs from August 6 to October 24, 2026 (Art District on Santa Fe events).

Artists on Santa Fe Gallery, at 747 Santa Fe Drive, is home to over 25 working artist studios and presents rotating exhibitions. Between Dreams by Jon Koenigsberg runs from September 16 to October 12, 2026, which makes it the earliest-closing show covered here (Art District on Santa Fe events). The studios give a visitor a reason to go beyond the walls of the exhibition itself.

Niza Knoll Gallery, at 915 Santa Fe Drive, specializes in conceptual exhibits by local and regional artists. It also hosts private concerts, guest speakers and workshops (Art District on Santa Fe events). That mix gives a reason to return for an evening event as well as the exhibit.

The Día de los Muertos Show at CHAC Gallery

CHAC Gallery, at 834 Santa Fe Drive, hosts Blooming Through the Spirit of Cempasúchul: A Día de los Muertos Art Exhibition. The opening was on October 2, 2026, from 5 to 9 p.m., and the show is on view through November 15, 2026 (Art District on Santa Fe events). It has the latest end date of the exhibitions in this guide, so it stays up after the fall shows close.

The district also celebrates Día de los Muertos on its own calendar, with costume contests, sugar skulls and local breweries (Art District on Santa Fe). Read together, the gallery show and the district celebration bring the theme to the same street in two forms.

Walking Santa Fe Drive by Address

Reading the addresses in order gives a route: 747, 834, 858, 915 and 965. Start at Artists on Santa Fe Gallery at 747, continue to CHAC Gallery at 834, pass the district's address at 858, then reach Niza Knoll Gallery at 915 and the Center for Visual Art at 965 (Art District on Santa Fe events). The district is at 858 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO 80204, and can be reached at 720-446-8813 or hello@denversartdistrict.org (Art District on Santa Fe). The district's listings also give Kalamath Street and Inca Street as its other pair of limits (Art District on Santa Fe).
