oxímoron: An Immersive Art Installation

oxímoron is a 13-foot-tall inflatable art installation built from overstock sail fabric, making its first U.S. appearance on Glenarm Plaza at Denver Pavilions. Visitors enter in groups of up to 10 with on-site monitors, and the experience can last from a few minutes to half an hour. The installation runs October 23 through 25 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Admission is free, though organizers ask visitors to register online in advance. The piece was created by Mexico City-based artists Pablo Kobayashi and Lucía Aumann. A members-only preview is set for Friday from 5 to 6 p.m., and an opening night on Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. includes food, drinks, live music and art activities for children. The U.S. debut is presented by Southwest Airlines, with the Biennial of the Americas as sponsor.
