1701 Wynkoop Street, Denver, CO
Denver Union Station is the main railway station and central transportation hub in Denver, located at 17th and Wynkoop Streets in the Lower Downtown (LoDo) district. It includes the historic station house, a modern open-air train shed, a 22-gate underground bus station and a light rail station. A station first opened on the site on June 1, 1881, burned in 1894, and was rebuilt in 1914. The station's own site describes it as reimagined for a new era in 2014. Visitors can dine, drink, shop and stay overnight, since the station houses restaurants, bars, shops and The Crawford Hotel. Personal photography is permitted in the Great Hall without prior permission; filming and commercial photography require a permit. The Great Hall is closed for cleaning every day from 12:00 AM to 5:30 AM. The station's FAQ says it is open 24/7 for Crawford Hotel guests and Amtrak passengers.
