This is a bar for lesbians. I'm a cis presenting Male. I didn't feel welcome in this bar. In a club setting, the content of my character didn't matter. I was a threat to their safe space and they made sure I knew that. There were a few people that didn't project their past experiences onto me which I appreciated. My best friendships have been with lesbian women. It just sucks that I don't feel comfortable enough to go back to a place where, in my experience, has been a safe place. But I understand I look like the people they're finding a sanctuary from. It's a great space. Just not a great space for me.

Such a cute place! Fun, everyone who hangs out there is nice and cool. Definitely 99% ladies ;) They have a vending machine with cute packs it it.

To begin, I want to say I have grown to love this bar and the safe space it offers. There are multiple amazing employees that I come back for and enjoy the company of every time I visit. That being said, there are several issues that should be resolved. I have experienced being overcharged. Prices will vary depending on the day or employee. I have found certain employees to be unfriendly and at times rude. I came in on tuesday and I asked for a tea and was told they are out, and instead of offering a solution I had to push for options. When it came out, the tea was cold and therefore just milk and water. To be overcharged $5 extra for a subpar drink is not okay. I hope they can find a way to fix these inconsistencies so that I can continue to have this be my regular bar. On top of all of this, I would like to warn of the fact they burn incense indoors with no set schedule. If you have an allergy, you may want to avoid this space.

So much to do under one roof! This isn't a 'gay bar'. This is a place that is all inclusive. Where everyone can come together, enjoy great food, listen to some jazz music, watch a show, listen to poetry, and just..be. Regardless of age (well, over 21), sexual orientation, race...it doesn't matter. Especially in today's world. I've never felt so safe in a bar atmosphere. For the record, I'm straight and 55! Found The Pearl by accident and glad I did.

I love the Pearl so much. It's such a beautiful bar with perfect sapphic atmosphere and decor 💖 The food is also really good and they have plenty of vegetarian options and lots of fun events going on, and the drinks are really creative. One thing I will say is that the partner dancing they host here still seems to be a mostly non-lesbian demographic. I don't hold this against them at all since partner dancing is generally even more straight at every other place I've been to, and they do a good job of keeping it inclusive regardless. For example I went on a date with a woman to a west coast swing class and it was not the vibe lol!
