Went to this church for a half year or so and was sure it would be our church home until… The positives: worship was fabulous. Sermons biblically based and good for beginners. Has groups to get involved in for more in depth learning. Children and youth programs were a hit. But… While the church is audited once a year, they “ do not make full financial statements or detailed budget breakdowns available for individual or public review” in any form. For our family (who does not have strong opinions on amounts or percentages where things should be spent; and has moved all over and been a part of much smaller and much larger churches), it is important to know where our tithe back to God is being used. We were shocked PCC is so secretive about their spending. And after months of talking thinking praying about it, we realized if we can’t trust this church with finances, how could we trust them with our family’s spirituality. ETA: I now see another review from three months ago that says the same thing (and it was about five months ago when we learned their view on financial openness). So to answer the question asked on Frankie’s review, I had a bsck and forth with the Guest Experience Pastor on staff who told me repeatedly the church has made the “deliberate decision” to not share budget breakdowns in any form for individual or public review. Second edit after response from church: I hear you. During my email conversation with the guest experience pastor where I offered to set up a meeting to see numbers or percentages in person so we had any idea where the church was spending money, I was told naw
Love this church! They welcome you in! They show you that our God is a loving God! I’m so thankful for Pastor Petie and the whole Peak City crew for making me feel like family! Highly recommended
Im giving 5 stars because to me, this is more than a church. Its a home for confused and a home for the ones looking for spiritual belonging. I've been baptized here and I've even informed the Pastor if anything we're to happen to me while I was away. He would be informed amd without any hesitation, he said "okay, we'll bring here waiting for your return". The pastor is incredible and the location is where it is meant to be. I really do love this place !
My husband and I first attended Peak City Church (formerly Red Rock Church) in the summer of 2017 when we first arrived in Colorado. We spent a few weeks searching for a church home. By our second visit to Peak City, we both felt a clear sense that God was saying, “This is where I’m planting you, and this is where you will grow.” Over the years, we’ve witnessed God’s faithfulness to this church firsthand. We’ve seen seasons of change, with people coming and going, yet the work of the Lord here has never wavered or stopped. Since then, our family has grown. We’ve been blessed with two children (and a dog!), and our commitment to serving in ministry at our church continues to grow right along with it. We truly value the strong sense of belonging, the welcoming faces, and the spirit of community and unity. There’s also a real sense of security here that means a lot to us. Our kids especially love being part of Peak City Kids.
This church is great! Felt invited the minute I walked in. Loved getting free coffee and hearing great worship and a great message! Was then able to conveniently pick up some wine at the liquor store next door afterwards, grab an app at Sprouts, AND a lovely gift for my wife at Fascinations a few doors down… Talk about a blessed Sunday!! Can’t wait to be back next week! Maybe I’ll get my tires rotated
