Chautauqua Auditorium

Came for a Crane Wives concert, and the vibes were immaculate! Beautiful space with lots of room, the stage was very visible. I loved being able to see the sunlight shine through the walls

Really cool venue. Sound could've used some.work. Parking can be tricky. Be prepared to walk up.

I love attending shows at this beautiful auditorium! That being said, purchasing tickets for the Indigo Girls show has been an absolute fiasco. The Indigo Girls sell out Chautauqua - that is fact. My guess is that tickets sell quickly so it’s important to buy them when they go on sale. I renewed my membership in January in order to purchase presale tickets. The wrong code was sent so that presented a problem off the bat. I was finally able to reach someone in customer service who provided me with the correct password. Problem solved, tickets purchased. Moving forward, I thought. This morning at 8:30 I got an email saying due to auditorium refurbishing running late there was a venue change to Boulder Theater with new tickets going on sale in 1.5 hours. The live link was sent late which caused panic. I was able to reach a helpful customer service rep who helped me because the link went live while I was in the phone with him. I appreciated his help. Life is stressful enough these days - purchasing tickets just shouldn’t be this difficult. Indigo Girls are a favorite and not once but twice, I was afraid I was going to miss them. I’m thankful I was finally able to secure tickets but I think there’s a good chance many people may have missed the email in time. C’mon, do better, Chautauqua!

Lovely venue for musical events! The auditorium is 100 years old, but still looks great! It was cool inside, even though the outside temps were in the 90°s. Many volunteers were on hand to guide and direct us to our seats and answer any questions. The venue was easy to get to with the Hop2Chautaugua free shuttle. We parked at New Vista High school and it was just a short walk to the shuttle stop. We only waited 5 mins for the shuttle.

We had an exquisite evening attending the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band Concert! There is so much to love about this venue! The location at Chautauqua has stunning views of the flat irons, and has views overlooking Boulder/Denver metro area. A small venue (4,000 capacity) makes for an intimate experience. The acoustics are wonderful, seats are comfortable. The venue has been capturing audiences for 125 years. Most of the negative comments I have read in previous reviews (IMHO) do not detract from the artists performances. The restrooms are a few steps outside of the concert hall. Last night was the hottest day of the year (it was 96 degrees), the temperature in the auditorium was warm, but not unbearable. It is worth dressing for the elements (casual) & taking a jacket just in case. Almost all of the 'staff' are volunteers. As always dealing with the public can be a challenge ~ It was obvious that they were doing the best they could! Lots of lovely people (workers & attendees). We parked on the street (in a nearby neighborhood) and walked about 10 minutes to the auditorium. Leaving was very quick as we were far enough away from the general traffic. We look forward to our next concert @ Chautauqua!
