The stock show is a yearly outing for my family. The PBR is awesome. Old and nostalgic.

Had an amazing time at the hall of education. So many things to do for children of all ages. Got pictures with a live Clydesdale and Bhrama bull. Great petting zoo/area. Also a lot of farm animals in the nursery (adorable piglets, lambs, and kidd goats)

Really enjoyed how clean and safe this area is. Also the size. Its not too big or too small. They also offered ADA transportation which is a plus. Definitely enjoyed the shuttle ride from the coors field to the coliseum.

The Denver Coliseum has stood its ground since 1951, and walking into it feels like stepping straight into living history. This isn’t just a venue, it’s a time capsule. I still remember Barnum & Bailey rolling through here year after year, and the very first concert I ever attended echoing off these walls. Those memories came flooding back the moment I walked in. In a city where so many historic buildings have been flattened for warehouses and apartments, the Coliseum’s survival feels almost defiant. It was built as a no-nonsense, working arena, designed to host rodeos, stock shows, boxing, wrestling, circuses, and concerts and it’s done exactly that for more than seven decades. It’s long been tied to Denver’s western roots, regularly hosting events connected to the National Western Stock Show and welcoming generations of families through its doors. What really stands out is how well it’s been preserved. You can feel the age, but in the best way possible. The structure has character, the kind you can’t fake or replicate, and it’s clear that care has been taken to maintain it rather than erase it. The Denver Coliseum doesn’t try to be modern, it proudly wears its history. Coming back after decades, this time for the Mexican rodeo, was emotional. The energy, the crowd, the atmosphere, it all reminded me why places like this matter. The Denver Coliseum isn’t just still standing; it’s still alive, still hosting moments that people will remember for the rest of their lives. Denver is better because this place was never torn down.

There are not a lot of elevators. We are in our mid 60's so a lot of steps is not desired. No bad views. Average stadium food. Lots of helpful staff. Nicely laid out. A huge number of vendors. A good variety of products. Numerous bars but a bit pricey. Bring your comfortable walking shoes.
